As she grew older, Skye continued to rely on her music to get her through difficult times and to inspire others. This inspired her to begin writing to express her emotions through lyrics and poetry. Although the voice didn't always seem as strong, Skye continued to practice singing due to the support and encouragement her family and friends provided. At the age of five, Skye's life took a turn into a different direction and things at home didn't seem the same. The Santa Monica native began singing at the tender age of three years old. Skye, born Skylar Christan Townsend, took her first breath on September 1st, 1993. I love him for a lot of different reasons." I love Kanye as a person, he’s a great person, he’s super-talented. It’s not a publicity stunt, it’s just human beings, man. It just so happened that he started liking me and I started liking him.
On Her Relationship Being A Publicity Stunt: "Well, my intentions when I met Kanye was to do his video, keep it very professional and we really started to like each other. I can be in love with a woman, I can be in love with a man. You know: "Amber Rose, the f*cking bisexual, dyke, freak, whatever the f*ck.” To answer that: I’m extremely open with my sexuality. On Being Bi-Sexual: "Yeah, they label me a bisexual freak stripper that f*cks Kanye on a daily basis. Kanye knew my life, so when the blogs came out like, Oh, Kanye do you know she was a stripper, that she used to date girls? Kanye was like, Tell me something I don’t know. You know, just as normal human beings when you hang out with somebody, you start to like them. He wanted me for his “Robocop” video and he had the utmost respect for me, and we hung out on a friendship/business type of deal. On Meeting Kanye: "I was always a huge fan of him, like who isn’t? But he had a fiancée, it wasn’t like, Ah, I’m gonna get with Kanye! When I met him, it was strictly business. There's a video of them at the J'Adore photoshoot below. I say all this to say that the Oceans 7 will be on the cover of the next J'Adore Magazine, which hits stands nationwide on September 7th. They also took the "owe me sex" sample from Kayne's verse in "I Put On" (w/ Young Jeezy) and made a song out of that. They remade many great songs like "Aint I" (Yung LA feat. I HAD to know what the next line, hook and verse would be before I turned off my iPod (which was extremely hard to do). But believe me obsessers, once I downloaded that greatness, I couldn't STOP listening to it. I will say, I was a little skeptical about downloading their mixtape at first not only because it was my first mixtape, but also because I didn't know any of the guys had been working on anything. They released their mixtape "That 3000 and 9 S*it" late May 2009. The Oceans have been called "major pioneers in the music game." They always make sure their swagg is through the roof when they enter a public place and always stay on top of not only music, but they also stay on top of trends and start many of them on their own. The Oceans 7 includes: Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael-Cox, Tyrone, Johnta Austin, Trey Songz, Nelly and Usher. Many people (including me) tune in every week to watch Jermaine Dupri and the Oceans 7 on Living the Life.
